In der App

1. Öffnen Sie Einstellungen, dann Konto.
2. Tippen Sie auf Konto löschen.
3. Bestätigen Sie die Frage.

Das Konto und alles darin sind sofort weg. Es gibt keine Wartezeit, keinen Link zum Bestätigen und keine Rückfrage per E-Mail.

Was gelöscht wird

Alles, was zum Konto gehört: die Fotos der Briefe, die Erklärungen, die Fristen, die Absender, die E-Mail-Adresse und das Profilbild, wenn Sie angemeldet waren, und die Kennung Ihres Abos.

Was bleibt, und wie lange

• Sicherungskopien des Servers werden nach 14 Tagen überschrieben.
• Absturzmeldungen tragen keinen Bezug zum Konto und werden nach 90 Tagen gelöscht.
• Die Tageszählung, wie viele Briefe insgesamt gelesen wurden, enthält nichts von Ihnen.

Einzelne Briefe löschen, das Konto behalten

Öffnen Sie den Brief und tippen Sie auf Brief löschen. Der Brief, sein Foto und seine Fristen sind sofort weg, auf dem Telefon und auf dem Server. Alle auf einmal: Einstellungen, dann Alle Briefe löschen. Das Konto und die Anmeldung bleiben.

Das Abo

Das Abo läuft bei Apple oder Google, nicht bei uns. Das Löschen des Kontos beendet es nicht. Kündigen Sie es in Ihrem App-Store- oder Google-Play-Konto, am besten vorher.

Ohne die App

Wenn Sie das Telefon nicht mehr haben und angemeldet waren: Schreiben Sie von der Adresse, mit der Sie angemeldet waren, an die E-Mail-Adresse im Impressum. Das Konto wird dann von Hand gelöscht, innerhalb von 30 Tagen. Ohne Anmeldung gehört das Konto zu einem Geheimnis auf dem Telefon; niemand, auch wir nicht, kann es einer Person zuordnen.

Delete your account

In the app: Settings, then Account, then Delete account, and confirm. The account and everything in it are gone at once: the photos of your letters, the explanations, the deadlines, the senders, your e-mail address and picture if you signed in, and the id of your subscription.

To delete letters and keep the account: open the letter and tap Delete letter; the letter, its photo and its deadlines are gone at once, on the phone and on the server. All at once: Settings, then Delete all letters.

What remains: server backups, overwritten after 14 days; crash reports, which carry no link to an account and are deleted after 90 days; a daily count of letters read, which contains nothing of yours.

The subscription runs with Apple or Google, not with us, and deleting the account does not cancel it. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account, ideally first.

Without the phone, and if you had signed in: write to the address in the Impressum from the e-mail address you signed in with, and the account is deleted by hand within 30 days. Without sign-in the account belongs to a secret on the phone, and nobody, us included, can tie it to a person.
